Operating system for Buildings

The Office environment today is flooded with multiple solutions from different vendors, be it the hardware-based solution like Lighting Management System, Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC), Building  Management System (BMS), Access Control System; or software-based solution like Meeting Room Management, Desk Management, Cafeteria & Pantry Ordering, Attendance, Indoor Navigation and many more.    

Almost every solution works independently and, no easy way exists to integrate them. Hence, the users and the facility team have to use and maintain multiple applications to access these solutions.  

This situation reminds us of the pre-smartphone period when people use to use the pager for messaging, Roll cameras for photography, Walkman for music, flip phones for calling, and, handheld consoles for gaming.  Today with the introduction of smartphones,  all you use is one device for everything. Powerful hardware specs and the new age operating system like Android and iOS have made it possible.  

Learning from the past, we propose to use a new age operating system for buildings that would integrate all the building resources and solutions on a single platform. This approach would provide an easy way to access resources.

The new platform from Bluecoin IoT works like an operating system that allows users to access all building resources via User mobile application, Kiosk, web application, and Alexa's voice-based assistance.  The native applications hosted on the platform would enable user-based access providing much-required flexibility to facility owners and managers.   

Similar to Android or iOS, the Bluecoin IoT platform in the future would provide a set of development tools identical to SDK (Software Development Kit) to third-party developers that would develop their application and can host it on the platform.
